This is my hp deskjet f4480 printer review review

Hitachi Cable made an announcement on development of high power red LED featuring a maximum luminous flux of 55 lumens, which was achieved through increase of LED size and use of a fine line electrode structure. The development of new red LED was in direct response to market demand for higher luminous efficiency LED chips. On way to increase the light output per chip is by increasing its size, however larger chips increases the difficulty of distributing a uniform current across the entire light emitting layer. At the same time by placing large electrodes in the upper layer of the chip for a more uniform current dispersion will cause light form the light emitting layer to be blocked, reducing the light extraction efficiency.

TO resolve this issue , Hitachi Cable instead of using larger electrodes, has utilized two pad electrodes for receiving power, a backbone electrode connecting the two electrodes as well as multiple fine line electrodes that extend from the backbone electrode on the upper chip layer. Through this, the company has succeeded in achieving uniform dispersion of current across the entire chip surface without blocking any lights form the light emitting layer resulting in maximum luminous flux of 55 lumens in a 1mm X 1mm size LED chip. The new chip is targeted to be used in light source application for such devices as projectors.
